Will it bring laughter or many tears?
Will I see someone today in 2017 and then when 2018 arrives I never see them again?
Will ‘my’ life be cut short this year, or will someone I love have their life cut short this year?
What will 2018 bring into my life?
Will it bring New Opportunity for me to advance?
Will it be a year that I have to recover because I have lost all?
Will I serve God more this year?
Or will I leave God behind only calling on him in emergencies?
What will I choose to experience in 2018?
Will I go to a party in 2017 to celebrate and bring in the new year of 2018?
Knowing that there are many who attend New Year’s parties that don’t make it back home again because of car accidents and drugs/alcohol – will I still go?
Will I attend church the last day of 2017 and bring in 2018 with Singing and Praise to God, Thanking him for allowing my family to see another year? Starting the New Year off in a holy and spiritual direction?
When I was a child my mom used to always say:
‘Why are you celebrating the New Year when you don’t know what that year will bring, you don’t know whether it will be good or bad? If you feel like you have to celebrate – celebrate by honoring God and Jesus, and spend your time in Giving thanks to God and Praising Him for another day.’
Happy Happy New Year!
May this year bring you many moments of Laughter and Joy, and very few sad tears. The good and the bad are all a part of life. So in the spirit of keeping it real, because we can’t escape the sad moments, but we CAN choose to focus on those things that bring us Joy.
With Love,
