If you like it, share it and give it a thumbs up. And if you get mad or offended at it, just remember these are lessons I learned and I am not mad at you :)
Opening up or breaking open scriptures means that we give the meaning and explain in easier to understand ways what the Bible says.
According to God's Word, the word of God doesn't lie. And I have discovered that to be true. It is going to go against things that we have been taught, things we may have learned from someone we love or trust. Much of what we have learned that is acceptable in our society is actually sin, and the word of God will offend us at times because it is going to speak against those sins, which we all have some of in our lives.
When it offends you, it is for your good and if you make the effort to change you will see good results! And when you change you will also have people in your life, including your family and friends, try to get you to go back to your old way of life.
One thing that I have learned is that when you are trying to serve God it is not always going to be easy. I have had people to get mad at me because I have no desire to do the things that I used to do. I have had people get mad at me because I was choosing to live according to scriptures, living a clean and holy life. They were mad because I didn't want to do the sins I used to do anymore, I wanted improvement and they felt threatened by that.
Instead of having their support, understanding, encouragement for making positive changes in my life and respecting my decisions; they resent the 'new' me.
It is SO True that who you hang around will have a major impact on your life. If you are to maintain a better life, you have to be around people that encourage you and that are trying to do the same. You have to make new friends.
With Love,
