To the Special Lady that took care of me when I was young
It is so easy for me to call you mother. You were always there for me. While my real mom ran the streets and never wanted anything to do with me. She never checked to see was I OK.
What kind of person would turn their back on their biological child? It takes a special person like you, to step in and do the things you did.
I did not really understand or really appreciate what you’ve done for me. You have done so much for me, I just can’t tell it all.
I never really appreciated how you sacrificed for me, gave me things that I was not worthy to have, you gave me money so I can have some change in my pocket, you provided me with new clothes to wear while not even buying for yourself.
Until I got older and had a family. I did not know what a parent goes thru. You really went thru a lot, putting up with a child like me.
I was always trying to give you my opinion, thinking I knew more than you, trying to hang with people that were a bad influence on me. Thinking how smart I was and how you don’t know anything. WOW, what a fool I was.
Mom I really appreciate you. When I was sick you were always there. Knowing all the heartache I gave, you never turned your back on me. I could have been a better child then I was. Since I can’t turn back time and change the past, there is nothing like saying these things Now. Please accept my apology for when I was a child. I WAS one very selfish and very hurt soul and sometimes I took it out in ways that I could have done better.
I was always putting you through extra hell that was not necessary. Mom, I really Love you, I am so sorry it took me so long to say these words to you. I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH. What makes a Mother is not a name on the birth certificate -- A Mother is the one that CARED for the child in an unconditional way. You were like a Mother bird to her chicks, you made sure I got in my mouth what I needed, because you were always there to take out what did not belong. Some punishments I got I did not appreciate, but because you held your ground it really made me the person I am today.
This takes a Special, Loving and Caring Mother like you to do this. I am so Blessed you did not turn your back on me. Mom Thank You, I Appreciate you for Raising and Taking care of a child like me.
