How many parents do you know that have raised their children the 'right' way, and yet the child has chosen to make harmful decisions as an adult (or young adult/teenager)?
These parents are feeling shame and embarrassment because of the choices of their children.
These children are adults and responsible for their own decisions.
This is not the parents fault, or responsibility.

To many parents are worried about what other people say and are carrying a burden that is not theirs to carry. If anyone is to feel embarrassed or ashamed, it would be the child making the unwise choices, not the parents.
The parents did their job, they gave the child the right information and proper upbringing - it is the child that gave into the temptation, and it is the child who is living with the consequences. What that child needs, even as an adult (what we ALL need), is love and support to get life back on the right track.

- Have you ever made a bad decision? made a mistake? done something wrong? Whose fault was that?
- Was it Your Fault? or your parent's fault?
- Did your parent's make the choice for you? or did you make the choice for yourself?
- So stay out of other people's business and exit the 'blame-game'.
