Do you ever ask yourself the question, 'who really are you'?
I ask myself, and observe myself, all the time. Some people really don't know who they are, they just go with the flow.
Example:
You ask someone the question, 'So why do you do that?'
They might respond by saying 'I have been doing this since I was a child, I have seen my parents doing it'.
Then you asked, 'Do you like doing it?'
They reply by saying 'I have been doing it for so long, that it doesn't matter now'.
With that statement I learned a lot.
To me you never really said 'I love doing this, I enjoy every moment I get, So I look forward to this every chance I get'.
So....
Do you watch people sometimes? Just to see if they are doing things because they have seen someone else doing it? Or are they doing it out of habit?
Then ask yourself, 'Do I do this very thing that I have been secretly criticizing this person about?
Do I hate, frown on, or dislike someone based on information that was said to me, that I have no way of knowing it was true?
Is this me?
Then ask yourself, what if someone dislikes you and you never knew why?
Could it be what you did to someone else has came back on you?
Or maybe it was because they judged you according to someone else's comments instead of getting to know you for themselves.
There are so many people that you see on a daily basis that you see and probably acknowledge, but do you know them?
Who are they really?
If someone tells you a lie, would you believe it? or would you say 'no, no' to them?
Questions, Questions to ask yourself
So you can learn who you are, because you know you, and not because someone said something else about you.
